Welcome to Terri’s visual world of Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing!
Terri Barbara has over 18 years experience as a graphic designer and desktop publisher, and she has been successfully running her own studio, H2M Creative Services (H2M), since 1994.
Terri successfully completed her graphic design and desktop publishing certificate courses in 1992 whilst completing a traineeship in the design department of one of the largest print companies in Australia at the time, Craft Printing Industries. From there she worked her way through to art studio manager where she dealt with some of the top companies in Australia.
During these early days, Terri worked through the era of traditional sketching, manual imposition, film output, chemical proofing and plating, all of which has given her a sound knowledge of the pre-press process and the skills to design for practicality in the real world, not just for ‘good looks’.
With such a rapid rise in the industry it was a natural progression for Terri to venture into her own graphic design business. Currently, her studio, H2M, produces designs for web and print that utilise the latest in digital technology, CTP and PDF processes to generate finished designs and artwork of the highest quality.
“I’m very passionate about my craft,” says Terri, “and I believe that learning to design for a purpose and for real-world application can take you far in the industry.”
Terri’s studio, H2M Creative Services, based 10 minutes from Sydney’s centre, is a niche design, desktop publishing and print consultancy. The work her team undertakes involves the production of a vast array of marketing and communication material from stationery and signage through to full colour brochures, corporate communication packages and web material.
