Construct Normal International Airfares Course

This comprehensive fares and ticketing unit meets the Travel Agents Licensing requirements for application to the Department of Fair Trading in all Australian States and Territories.

SITTTSL013A Construct normal international airfares, is a Unit of Competency from the SIT07 Tourism Training Package. The Unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to correctly construct international air itineraries and cost normal international airfares and can be found in three national qualification levels:

  • SIT30207: Certificate III in Tourism (Retail Travel Sales)
  • THT30302: Certificate III in Tourism (International Retail Travel Sales)
  • THT40202: Certificate IV in Tourism (Operations)
  • THT50302: Diploma of Tourism (Operations Management

The Construct Normal International Airfares module comprises correspondence learning workbooks with fares and ticketing activities and a practical assignment project booklet containing your fares and ticketing assessment tasks.

The course module should take you around 50 hours to complete. You do this in the comfort of your own home. You are assigned a qualified industry travel tutor who will mark your assignment project and give you feedback and guidance. Your tutor (along with Student Services) will also provide you with personal support and assistance throughout your unit of study.

Once you have successfully completed the unit you will be awarded a nationally recognised qualification that you can submit to the Department of Fair Trading or appropriate office in your state or territory.
