| Course Overview |
|
This professional writing course has been developed against the curriculum for arts (professional writing and editing), and includes practical activities and industry relevant projects.
If
you are serious about a full-time writing career, a literary career
or you simply want to gain an advanced level of writing skills then
you should explore the Free Facts Pack provided for this course.
This
is the most comprehensive writing course available—and it's
brilliant! You will learn about writing styles and genre, how to
plot out all kinds of fiction and non-fiction, editing and fine-tuning
your work, how to get published, and how to market your work and
participate in workshops. You will gain advanced knowledge and skills
in writing, drafting, rewriting and polishing your manuscripts to
the stage of a professional writer.
This
is an ideal course if you have already undertaken a creative writing
course, a short story course or any general writing course; however,
you can certainly undertake this course even if you have no previous
experience. You will need an aptitude for writing and reading, though.
Keep
in mind, this is a writing course for people who really want to
learn advanced writing skills. It is even suitable for those wanting
to progress and undertake a degree in writing through university.
There
are two pathways into this course:
Pathway
1: Direct entry into the Advanced Professional Writing and Editing
Course
Pathway
2: Completion of the Professional Writing and Editing Course
then completion of the Professional Writing and Editing Upgrade
Course
Both
pathways cover the same subjects and materials, and both end in
the same result. Pathway 1 is for those who are committed to the
full program; Pathway 2 are for those who aren't certain if they
want to go the entire distance.
