Entry Requirements

The minimum entry age for this course is 15 years.

The entry requirements you will need to have include:

While you don't need any previous experience in computers in order to commence this introductory course, you will require:

  • a reasonable command of written English
  • access to a computer with printer and a connection to the Internet (either dialup or broadband)
  • Windows XP/2000 and Microsoft Office 2003 software
  • basic keyboarding skills
  • as little as an hour a week to learn

Keep in mind that this course requires Windows XP/2000 plus MS Office 2003. You will also need an Internet Connection and a printer. While you could undertake this course with Vista or Windows 7 plus Office 2007 you need to be aware that a number of the screen images will look different and some of the instructions will change.

The personal attributes you will need to have include:

  • an interest in learning about computers
  • basic problem solving skills
  • a willingness to learn and the desire to succeed
