You don't need any previous experience to undertake the course; however, you will need to have a willingness to learn and the desire to succeed.

• access to a standard computer with word processing and printer to type your novel
• as little as an hour a week to learn
  

The personal attributes you will need to have include:

• an interest in any genre of novel writing
• an idea for a novel
• a reasonable command of written English
• basic typing skills
• a willingness to learn and the desire to succeed
