Microsoft Excel

Excel is the main spreadsheeting application used in business today

With Excel you can create:

  • basic data lists you can sort and export to other applications
  • simple home accounts that track your expenses
  • complicated budgets that auto-calculate your profit and loss
  • multiple worksheet financial reports for income and expenditure
  • graphic presentations using charts and tables

If you want to do anything like this then Excel is the application for you.

You can undertake the Introductory course if you have little or no previous experience. Or, if you have already mastered the basics but need to access the more powerful features of Excel then the intermediate course may be the right choice for you. Excel is a big application so it is best to take it in steps: introductory then intermediate then advanced.

With the advanced course you start using more features and multiple worksheets. You will create more complicated worksheets using ranges, macros and data analysis tools. You will also create pivot tables and work with what-if analysis. This is ideal for the business manager, accountant, bookkeeper, business planner or developer.
